Consent and OpenAI Ads measurement

PixelBridge is designed to integrate measurement with WordPress consent workflows so events are not sent before the required consent is available. The plugin does not replace a consent management platform.

What must wait

If your legal setup treats advertising measurement as optional:

  1. Do not load the OpenAI Ads measurement script.
  2. Do not send browser conversion events.
  3. Do not send Conversions API events that depend on that same permission.

What can still happen

Consent storage, the plugin settings screen and diagnostics that report "consent not granted" can run without sending measurement events.

Common WordPress setups

Many sites use a consent plugin or a banner from their cookie tool. PixelBridge should read that state rather than invent a second banner. Specific CMP connectors will be documented when they are implemented.

GDPR and similar rules
