How to Install the OpenAI Ads Pixel on WordPress

Install PixelBridge, enter the Pixel ID from Ads Manager, and confirm the Measurement Pixel loads on a public page.

This is the install procedure. For how the pixel fits into conversion tracking, use OpenAI Ads Pixel for WordPress.

Before you start

Copy the Pixel ID from the conversions area of Ads Manager. Decide whether this site must wait for measurement consent before any event is allowed. Use a separate Pixel ID on staging if the ads account gives you one.

Install the plugin

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins, then Add New.
  2. Search for PixelBridge, or install it from WordPress.org.
  3. Activate the plugin.
  4. Open the PixelBridge settings screen.

Do not install a second copy of the measurement script in the theme.

Configure the Pixel ID

Enter the Pixel ID and save. PixelBridge enqueues the Measurement Pixel on public pages. If consent rules block measurement, the script stays quiet until permission is granted.

Settings > PixelBridge > Pixel ID

Do not also paste the Pixel ID into header.php.

Confirm the script can load

  1. Open a public page while logged out, or use a private window.
  2. Grant measurement consent if your banner requires it.
  3. Use diagnostics to see whether the SDK loaded and the pixel initialized.
  4. If the script is missing, check caching, consent and Content Security Policy. See troubleshooting.

After installation

The pixel can load and still send no useful conversions. Map the actions you care about next:

WooCommerce, Elementor Forms, Contact Form 7 and WPForms have their own pages under integrations.
